An excellent and not often seen Wehrmacht Signals Personnel Backpack model 3 Fernsprechtornister.

Similar to, but larger (34cms x 38cms x 13cms) than the standard Tornister and fur covered front, back and sides, the carrying straps could be removed to lay it flat for easy access and use of the contents.

Inside there are partitions whilst the flap has one large pocket and two small pockets. A flapped tubular leather pocket held the poles which when joined together supported a wire.

These packs held cables reels and related equipment. It existed in 3 models all slightly different, this being a number 3 pack.

Overall condition is very good with no damage.
