The double sided flag has a cotton linen base with a separate, machine stitched black DAF cogwheel with white centre showing a mobile black Swastika, sewn to the centre of each side of the flag.
Positioned in the upper corner of each side is the unit designation of Worschweiler 1 in white chain stitching on a brown felt background and blue felt border, Worschweiler being a town in the Saarland of Germany
Measuring approximately 136cms x 115 cms the Flag is trimmed with silver wire fringes. Although there is no obvious evidence of them ever having been in place, I believe this to be a standard bearer’s flag which are usually seen with silver metal rings for attachment to the bearer’s pole.
Overall condition is very good with a few very small moth nips.
