A very nice example of a Second Pattern Luftwaffe Dagger by Eickhorn.

The polished aluminium fittings are in very good condition with good definition to the pommel and crossguard. The Trolon grip is the desirable orange colour with grip wire in a silver bullion. Tied around the base of the grip, and covering the ferrule is the officer’s knot showing minor wear from use. Beneath the crossguard the leather buffer pad is in place.

The Blade is full length, free from nicks or bends and displays good cross graining, the polished finish very good. Minor marking is evident to both sides which I have managed to capture well in the image. The forward facing Eickhorn Squirrel logo remains clear at the Ricasso.

Finally, the Scabbard is very good with most of the original darkened finish remaining and free from the often seen dents. One screw is absent at the throat.
